Paintball - Too Fun!

Last Saturday morning, 16 of us met together at the UC to go play some Paintball. We went out to a private field a few miles north of the airport. While a few of us had played before, the group had several first time players. After the issuing of equipment and a brief overview of safety rules, it was time to go afield. Play was a bit tentative at first while new players were trying to get a feel for the game. About 30 minutes into the day, the paint really started to fly, and everyone got into it and had a great time! During game play we saw lots of shooting, running, hiding, sneaking around, ambushes, and defensive stands. Just as fun as playing was all the "war stories" told between games. By late afternoon, everyone had two or three battle scars and were ready to celebrate their victories over a big dinner. We drove back to an Oakland and closed out our afternoon with a meal together.

Because of the success of this event and a continued interest, were going to try to set up more games for September 29th and October 27th. Watch for emails on how to sign-up or contact dougwcherry@gmail.com to get more info.

Welcome to the Fall of 07

Hey CrossSeekers,
I’m looking forward to a great semester! I sense that God is going to do some amazing stuff at CMU. My hope and prayer is that many come to faith in Jesus. I’m also very excited about disciple making. I hope to expand on this concept in the months to come. What does in mean to make disciples and how do you do it? See Matthew 28:19 and think on these things!
We have some cool things on tap for this semester including our Fall Ohiopyle Mini-Retreat coming up on Sunday and Monday of the Labor Day weekend. Check out the calendar! I look forward to seeing each of you very soon.
by His grace alone - for His glory alone,
doug
